After months of lockdown through the cold and dark winter it seems we have been released with a bit more freedom just intime for the sunshine! Tuesday 30th and Wednesday 31st March are set to be the hottest days of the year so far with predictions of 23C, we are so excited.
What can you do in the sun?
This nicer weather is due to come at the perfect time as from March 29, Londoners will be able to meet outside with up to five people from outside their households. Picnics in the parks are finally allowed again, and seeing friends doesn’t have to be just a socially distanced walk.
The weather over the next few days is the definition of BBQ weather. Which is great news for Londoners everywhere as groups up to six will be able to meet in private gardens. This means we can light up the grill, have some friends over and open a cold beer in the sunshine to celebrate the end of the ‘stay at home’ message.
Unfortunately, pubs, bars and restaurants will remain closed until 12th April when they will be allowed to open their outdoor spaces.
Outdoor sports can officially return including tennis, basketball, and golf. It's a massive relief for everyone who has missed running around or playing their favourite sport. If you’ve missed playing football with your mates today is the day to dust off your ball and head out to your local green space and get sweaty in the British sunshine.
For many new parents going through lockdown will have been difficult but, things are getting easier from today (Monday 29th March) as rules are easing on groups for parents and children. Up to 15 adults will be able to attend groups, and children are not counted towards the total.
The Great British Summer has finally started to appear, and for once it has come just at the right time. It is time to go out and enjoy some more freedom in a safe socially distanced manner. Whatever you’re doing in the sunshine we hope you have a great time.
