The last year has undoubtedly been a tough one, we missed out on the gloriousness of summer last year and all the things we could have been doing. This year will be different! With lockdown seeming to come to an end, with vaccine numbers continuously rising- this surely does look like the summer that will make up for the last. The warm weather has started, the sun is shining but do you know what the hot places are this June? Have a look at our list of 5 things to do for June, you wouldn’t want to miss it!
1) Watch the European Championships 2021
The football season is not over! The European Championships were postponed for this year and the year off has only created additional anticipation. You know what makes it better? Some games and the final will be played in London at Wembley Stadium! Now Covid restrictions allow fans to attend games, why not have a look to see if you can get tickets to the game? Or book that local pub to watch the three lions play with numerous other fans. There is nothing like the togetherness football brings to a community and in this case, the nation! We offer short-let accommodation within London, so why not take a lot at our properties, and make your stay in London peaceful and pleasant.
2) Attend the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre
Spend a summer evening or afternoon in the gorgeous surrounds of theatre within nature, as you gaze towards the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre immersed in the Shakespeare story of Romeo & Juliet. Regents Park in itself, is a lush sight, now add the lights, the pizazz with the theatre environment. It surely is not to be missed! It is no wonder the theatre has existed for almost 100 years and received the highly commended award for London Theatre of the Year in the Stage Awards 2021. Truly immerse yourself in a first-class experience in the heart of London and keep a watch out for all the luxurious properties.
3) Eat at a restaurant INDOORS!
If there is one thing that the last year has taught us, it is to not take the little things for granted as life becomes miserable without them. Eating indoors at a restaurant is one of those things we should be thankful for, and now lockdown restrictions have lessened, it is the best time to do so! Go to that place you’ve been dying to go to with your friends or loved one, try that new cuisine of food and just enjoy yourself. With the weather as good as it has been, don’t dismiss the outdoor seating arrangement too, but just remember to enjoy the little thing. As a real estate agent, but also as Londoners, we sure will.
4) Spoil your father (and yourself too) for Father’s Day!
Father’s Day is on the 20th of June and what better year to be thankful for your loved ones, especially your father! Make sure you treat your dad, whether it be a pair of socks, a glorious meal at a high-level restaurant or just a relaxing day.
5) Head to an experience through history!
The museums are now open! Why not head to Kensington and take your pick of the Science Museum, the Natural History Museum, or the Victoria & Albert Museum. Whether you want to get up close to a mummy, a tyrannous or get close to the excellence of art & design, Kensington has you covered just like we do. Take the family out and allow the kids' imaginations to run wild as they relax in the sunshine.
Those are the 5 things we recommend you do in June; London is full of so many other things to do so do not restrict yourself to just these things! Regardless of what you do, there are a few constants- London will always bounce back and Parkes will always provide an excellent service.
